A french aerospace organisation acquired a business in the UK to enhance its profile and presence in the UK aerospace market. The business acquired had general HR administration support suitable for day to day operations however the incoming senior management team required a higher level of HR support to assist them with the post TUPE transition, employee relations and future acquisitions.

Vital HR was first approached to assist with a complex employee relations situation due to an outstanding pay dispute leading to potential industrial action. With our experience in Trade Union negotiations we took an integral role in the negotiations and agreed an outcome acceptable to both parties.

Following on from this the client entered into an agreement with Vital HR to provide HR Support on the basis of two days a month. This was to assist the business with all dealings involving the Trade Unions and to support managers with advice on legislative issues in relation to day to day employment matters.

The relationship with this client has increased in line with their growth and success in the UK and we are now deemed as a key member of the Senior Management team providing support on site(s) on a weekly basis. The type of work we are involved in is the sourcing and recruitment of senior managers, transition of businesses acquired, pay negotiations, cost reduction exercises following analysis and including implementation of changes to working practices and general support to develop managers in dealing with performance, welfare and disciplinary issues.
